This course is an introduction to personal finance. Students will learn vocabulary and how to implement personal finance strategies into their lives. The course focuses on the steps needed to be taken in high school to prepare; apply; and have financial success in your adult years. Using the Dave Ramsey Foundations in personal finance for a portion of the class students will learn the theories and strategies of Saving; Budgeting; Debt; Investing and Retirement; Insurance; and Taxes. 
Students will learn about stocks; bonds; mutual funds; index funds; etfs; auto; home; health and life insurances. Students will create their own set of financial principles to guide their future financial decisions after high school. 
Students will create a career resume as well as complete an actual job application in class; conduct a mock interview and research 3 careers they would like to pursue. Students will additionally develop an action plan for taking their goals and creating a timeline for their lives from their current age to 30 years of age.
