Course description

This course is designed to introduce students to the world of Physics. Using a combination of lectures and or textbook assignments, labs, projects, and documentaries students will develop critical thinking skills as well as incorporate standard math and writing spaces throughout this course. Topics covered will include kinematics, mechanics, properties of matter, heat, sound, and light, electricity, magnetism, and atomic and nuclear physics. Students will be provided with assignments outside of instruction. These are designed to reinforce concepts that have been presented in the classroom. Students will be assigned lab partners and must work as a team to accomplish a set of goals designed for each lab. Students will develop creative and team building skills during the entire course.
