Course description

Course Description: Financial and quantitative literacy are a main focus in this course. Students are introduced to concepts of credit; debt; banking; budgeting and taxes. In addition to these financial skills; students will also gain an introduction to statistics and elementary probability through analyzing and collecting data and critiquing the use of statistics in media. Students will explore population growth and radioactive decay through exponential modeling. The use of technology through excel and graphing calculators is a major component of the course.
