Science in Rivers focuses on skills associated with “systems thinking”. Students study and explore our watershed and the glaciation that created it, while observing the life that has taken root in Concord and the soil that supports it. Students investigate how past choices with regard to resources and energy are impacting life today, while problem solving for a better local and global environment, and engaging in environmental action through personal choices and civic engagement.
