Course description

This is an investigative course exploring the solar system; other celestial bodies found in our galaxy; and many of the recent advances in space science through lectures and demonstrations which emphasize techniques astronomers use to probe the nature of the universe. Extensive use of the Internet is used to access current information. Students taking the course for honors credit are expected to display high skill levels in math and writing and to work in greater depth on required projects and tests.
