Course description

This course gives students an overall view of the social; political; and economic developments of U.S. History. It is taught at a language level that is comprehensible to intermediate and advanced English learners. Emphasis will be placed on the 20th century and America's place in the modern world. This course takes students through a chronological timeline that organizes important events occurring in the last century. In addition; students will be introduced to the American political system and its effect on the nation. Students will participate in activity-based projects related to the course material.
