Previously ABOR approved with title "Basic Senior English"
Based on the Arizona English Language Arts Standards with a focus on grade band anchor standards, Senior English Essentials provides students with the skills and knowledge to become advanced critical readers and writers by analyzing multiple themes, interpretations, details, craft and structure, and the integration of knowledge and ideas in literature and informational text. Students will conduct research and participate in a range of collaborative discussions and presentations, integrating multiple sources of information. Students are expected to attain a high level of competence in reading, writing, study skills, and speaking. Approval is required to enroll in this course.
