Course title
Environmental SciencePre-requisite
Biology, Physics, ChemistryCourse description
Our class is designed to be both academic and action! We will be learning many new principles about the earth upon which we live. It is our goal to learn as much as we can about EVERY aspect of this vast subject so as to play a significant role in maintaining our environment as pristine as possible.

Since this Environmental Science course is the equivalent of a college environmental science; the class is designed to incorporate a “College Science Learning” experience.
- A college level textbook will be used as the student’s primary information resource.
- The classroom will be a relaxed learning environment.  The students; their parents and the teacher will form a learning team working together to enable students to confidently expand their knowledge of chemistry and their desire to learn more.  Questions are welcome and risk taking is encouraged in this environment of mutual respect; as students present their homework problem solutions to each other in a non-threatening environment where mistakes are ok.
- To mimic college learning setting; classroom instruction will include a variety of techniques:  weekly brainstorming symposium style classes; lecture-type presentation of material; group work and group projects; environmental activities conducted on the Seton Catholic campus and when possible; field trips to local environmental venues.
