Previously ABOR approved with title " Basic Sophomore English"
Based on the Arizona English Language Arts Standards with a focus on grade band anchor standards, Sophomore English Essentials reinforces and expands on the reading and writing objectives of freshman year. Students will apply reading and writing skills and standards to a variety of genres. This course will further advance students’ knowledge of the conventions of Standard English and will strengthen vocabulary acquisition and use. Approval is required to enroll in this course.
