This course introduces students to statistical reasoning through sports by using simulations, data analysis, and hands‑on projects to explore real-world questions and build critical thinking, data literacy, and communication skills. Students may also collaborate with the school’s broadcasting network to analyze live game data, create statistical visuals for broadcasts, and present findings in multimedia formats, gaining authentic experience in sports media, journalism, and analytics. They will work with post‑game data to refine graphics, update season dashboards, and produce actionable summaries similar to the workflows used by professional sports media teams.
