Our interconnected world has become increasingly complex, and the ever-shifting and divisive US
political landscape has "added fuel to the fire". This course is technically a policy analysis class
that is specific to foreign policy. After a brief introduction in which we define foreign policy and
the various approaches to it, we will make the topic concrete by exploring through a regional /
topical lens. We will also discuss the consequences of U.S. foreign policy today (and, where
relevant, in the past) for the U.S. and the rest of the world.
