This course teaches students to build a visual representation of live events and experiences. The students learn to use the elements of art principles of design to create strong and visually compelling compositions. The course teaches students graphic design skills such as effective use of typography, and application of visual hierarchy to guide a viewer’s eye through their designs. Combined with the development of their composition building and visual narrative skills, the students work with the yearbook’s publishing company to manage the business side of the publication as they send the yearbook to print.
