Course description

The main focus of the course is on language acquisition and development in the four primary language skills: listening; speaking; reading and writing. These language skills will be developed through the study and use of a range of written and spoken material. The material is chosen to enable students to develop mastery of language skills. Students will also use their inquiry skills through investigation of how their own culture compares to that of other countries. Students will advance their ability to communicate in Spanish in all four skills areas as they explore themes of change; groups and leisure through the study of geography; history; art; music and literature. This course is part of the IB Diploma Programme. Prerequisite: Spanish II or higher and teacher recommendation. Fee required.
