Course description

The Digital Communication-Broadcasting course assists in creating weekly-televised news broadcasts as well as daily announcements via the intercom. Additionally; students learn the skills needed to edit and create video news stories by using the industry software; Adobe Premiere. The course incorporates extensive research skills; investigative reporting; journalistic writing skills; and problem solving techniques.
Because this is a rigorous course and self-motivation is such an important part of this curriculum; students who cannot work at this level and who receive a “D” or “F” at semester will not be allowed to continue the course the following semester. Students will have the opportunity to participate in SkillsUSA.
