This one semester course is designed to develop an understanding of the Automotive Technology field; covering the basic principles and techniques of the OEM (Operations; Engineering; & Maintenance) maintenance and for those who would like to explore the career possibilities in this Engineering Pathway. Safety is always a priority. Students will explore various automotive components in the context of workplace skills. The shop work involves the use of trainers that help document student competence as they progress throughout this course. Career and Technical Students Organization (CTSO) competencies will be an integral part of this class. Students will have the opportunity to participate in SkillsUSA.
