Course description

This course explores the skills freshmen need to succeed in high school; post-secondary education and the workforce. Students will utilize technology based research tools including the internet and demonstrate computer literacy using the Microsoft Office Suite (Word; Excel; PowerPoint; publisher and Access) and may include basic keyboarding skill proficiency. Note taking skills; speaking and active listening skills; study skills; and the development of leadership and teamwork skills are a focus of this class. The course will introduce students to the sixteen career clusters while they explore their personal interests and abilities.
