Course description

Graphic Design I is a foundation course; which will develop an understanding of the basic design principles; along with the elements of art. Students will learn the fundamentals of Adobe Photo Shop drawing program on the computer. They will learn to create “real world” projects such as CD covers; magazine covers; corporate logos; and posters. This course will emphasize the skill of a computer artist. Advertising and marketing projects will be completed using various media while exploring the importance of working in stages from rough ideas to finished designed work. Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO) standards will be an integral part of this class. Fee required.
