Course description

Botany is the study of plants and their relationship to the environment. In this project-based; student centered course; students investigate and researchthe growth; reproduction; anatomy; morphology and physiology; biochemistry; taxonomy; genetics; evolution and ecology of plants. Students will also gethands-on experience with sustainability; horticulture; agriculture; landscape design and implementation; and explore career paths in botany related tothese subjects. Laboratory and outdoor experiences and projects complement classroom activities.
